On June 21st my grandmother Judy Lane and my brother  Michael got the opportunity to meet with Mr. Kalb.  Mr. Kalb is co-writer with Ray Stevens. He was very interesting to listen to. He told us about one of  his favorite history story involving our first president.  We are researching Tomo- Chi-Chi, Chief of the Yhamacraw to see if he is the person who met George Washington and blessed him as a  chief of many nations.  Mr. Kalb was very intelligent and was supportive of WTK.  He was really nice to meet and it was awesome to listen to him.

The search is on KIDS,  help Hannah find the Chief that Mr. Kalb is referring too. Please submit all  information to Attn: Hannah.  Use the wtk’s blog.

If you don’t recognize Mr. Kalb’s name, perhaps you recall the song “Mississippi Squirrel Revival.” Stevens recorded the song in 1984, and this enduring comedy tale about a kid catching a squirrel and taking it to church continues to delight audiences of all ages.

Mr. Kalb plays the role of Harv Newland in the music video of Mississippi Squirrel Revival

Cyrus “Buddy” Kalb Jr. (born July 15, 1938) is an American singersongwriter and musician. He is best known for hits such as “Mississippi Squirrel Revival“, performed by Ray Stevens, and “Frog Kissin'”, which was performed by numerous artists, including Chet Atkins. Several of Kalb’s songs were co-written with his wife, Carlene.

Thank you,  Mr. Buddy Kalb for taking the time to meet with my grand-kids and me.
