As America prepares to celebrate the nation’s independence one very special mom has spent years bringing comfort to the nation’s military through her Patriotic Pillow Project. According to We the Kids, Christina Finn, is known nationally for her famous handmade patriotic pillows. She has delivered a staggering 20,500 plus handmade pillows and attended over 400 veteran events.

This Heartland Hero will be We the Kids’ special Independence Day show guest. Finn will share how she began her Patriotic Pillow Project after a fateful visit to Walter Reed Medical Hospital and why it is important to keep the sacrifices of America’s military and their families front and center this weekend and throughout the year.

Learn how the Pillow Mom’s special heartfelt gifts have made the difference in the lives of the nation’s healing wounded men and women who are returning home from deployments overseas.

Also on the show KBN See Action News “Kid” Reporter Annah (11) returns with her ever exciting: ‘An Indian Minute’ with WTK Carol Nichols. In addition, Australian KNB See Action News “Kid” Reporter Bella will be delivering a special Independence Day message for America from the land down under.

Of course just in time for the nation’s celebration is Peter Robyn, creator of HistoryStrips and his always educational and popular “Principles of Liberty” segment. Robyn will stress the importance of Independence Day and why it is so vital for young Americans to understand today.
